KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Waqar Younish hit out at some former cricketers who were seen making offensive remarks against the current team management and players.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday night, Waqar Younis said that there has to be a limit to criticism.

I feel embarrassed and ashamed when I hear some of our cricketers on our national channels speak about our current players and coaches #VerbalDiarrhoea There has to be a limit..There are better ways of making money guys. Show some Respect #Please,” Waqar tweeted.

His comments came after remarks made by Abdul Razzaq and Tanvhir Ahmed went viral on social media.

“The only way Mickey Arthur will leave the Pakistan coaching job is when he passes away” #Cwc19,” Razzaq told a TV anchor.

Another former cricketer Tanvir Ahmed told ARY: “Imam-ul-Haq’s century (against Bangladesh) deserves to be put in the rubbish bin” 🙄 #CWC19 #PAKvBAN.”

Mohammad Amir was quick to respond to Tanvir Ahmed’s remarks.

“Kyn k khuch logon ko tameez ni hoti tv pe beth k bat karne ki (Because some people have no manners to talk while sitting on a TV show.”
