Sarfaraz Nawaz urges PM Imran Khan to take action on players, team management after World Cup failure
Former Pakistan pacer Sarfaraz Nawaz has appealed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan, who also the patron of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), to take action and sack those responsible for the team’s failure to qualify for the semis in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
While talking to a local newspaper, Sarfaraz Nawaz said that people who have dignity and understand responsibility themselves step down.
“I was expecting resignations from team management and COO Subhan Ahmed after highly dismal performance of the national team but no one is ready to accept the responsibility,” former pacer said.
He added that he was surprised how the PCB are appreciating the team’s performance in the recently concluding ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. It was totally pathetic and below average.
