PTI MNA Alamgir Khan arrested after PPP-Fixit clash
KARACHI: PTI MNA and Fixit founder Alamgir Khan has been taken into custody after a clash between PPP workers and Fixit volunteers in Karachi on Sunday.
The clash took place during a protest at Karachi’s Teen Talwar on Sunday evening.
The protest was called by the FixIt workers outside Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani’s office at Teen Talwar. PPP workers were already gathered there which led to the clash.
The Karachi police had to intervene to stop the protest.
The police arrested the FixIt head and shifted him to Darakhshan police station.
Speaking to media persons, Alamgir Khan said that FixIt campaigners were staging a demonstration against lack of cleanliness in the city.
He accused the PPP workers of resorting to violence with the police and FixIt supporters.
Sindh Minister for Local Bodies Saeed Ghani rebuked FixIt campaigners, saying that “there are ways to record protest”.
