PTI govt’s fascist tactics to increase: Bilawal
KARACHI: PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took a dig at Prime Minister Imran Khan over recent arrests of opposition leaders.
Former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullh and a former PML-N MPA were arrested within 24 hours in Faisalabad. While Sanaullah stands accused of carrying drugs the former MPA has been taken into custody for announcing protests.
Both PPP and PML-N have described the arrests as political victimization and blamed PM Khan.
“As rigged PTIMF budgets starts to suck the life out of Pakistan’s economy expect the regimes fascist tacticts to increase. When citizens of Rome were starving Caesar would distract with Gladiators. Imran thinks you won’t notice his economic murder if he arrests all his critics,” bilawal tweeted.
The PPP chief also condemned the arrest of Rana Sanaullah.
“Arrest of President Punjab PMLN by Anti-Narcotics force is obviously desperate attempt at political victimization. Sanaullah has been a vociferous critic of PPP in the past & is currently one of the most vocal critics of the regime. Arrests expose govts weakness & desperation.”
