Priyanka Chopra, her former manager call a truce after lengthy legal battle
MUMBAI: A 15-year-old legal battle between Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra and her former manager Prakash Jaju has finally come to an end after the two parties decided to call a truce.
The actress’s former manager Jaju had filed a lawsuit against Priyanka Chopra in 2004 for breach of contract.
He also accused the former Miss World of violating the contract by abruptly terminating his services.
The parties withdrew their cases in the presence of Priyanka Chora’s mom Madhu Chopra, India Today reported.
The magistrate made a video call to Priyanka Chopra as well, asking for her confirmation on the withdrawal of the case.
The star gave her nod, putting an end to the court case.Jaju had scanned through her mobile bills, which didn’t go down well with Priyanka and she ended the contract.
Jaju then filed a case against the actress and threatened to disclose her secrets.He had to spend 67 days in jail after Priyanka’s father Ashok Chopra filed a complaint against him for alleged extortion and blackmail.
