#MeToo: Tanushree Dutta to file petition against Nana Patekar’s clean chit
Indian actress Tanushree Dutta has challenged a decision by the Oshiwara police station to give Nana Patekar a clean chit in the sexual harassment case.
The former Miss India was represented by her legal Representatives Advocate Nitin Satpute at Railway Mobile Court, Andheri, Mumbai.
The court has granted her time to file a protest petition against the B-Summary report, India Today reported.
In October last year, Tanushree filed an FIR against Nana for forcefully trying to insert intimate steps into the choreography.
Director Rakesh Sarang, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, producer Sami Siddiqui were also named in the case. Following this, police interrogated the witnesses, who were present during the incident in 2008.
The Oshiwara police station in Mumbai gave Nana Patekar a clean chit as they could not find any proof against him to file a chargesheet and seek trial. In fact, the report mentioned that the complaint could have been filed to seek revenge and seemed “malicious and fake”.
