Maryam takes a dig at PM Imran over US visit
LAHORE: PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz took a swipe at Prime Minister Imran Khan as he departed for the United States on a three-day visit.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Maryam asked whether the selected (PM) was also part of the delegation visiting the US.
“He would have led the delegation if he had been voted to power by the people,” Maryam said, adding that death with dignity was better than life with humiliation. “Being impriosoned is better than such power,” she added.
Her tweet came after PM Khan boarded a commercial airline to fly to the US. Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa is also part of the Pakistani delegation.
According to government’s critics, Imran Khan was a spineless leader and the army was calling the shots.
