Lahore lifts national football tourney, to represent Pakistan in Socca World Cup in Greece
KARACHI: Lahore clinched the title of Leisure Leagues Six-A-Side Football National Championship in Karachi.
According to details, Lahore defeated Karachi on penalty kicks by a 2-1. The win has earned them a chance to represent Pakistan in Socca World Cup for the second time, which will take place in Greece.
Later, DG Rangers Sindh Major General Omar Ahmed Bukhari was graced the occasion as a Chief Guest and distributed cash prize among the teams.
Winning team pocketed Rs 100,000 while runner-up team received Rs 50,000 cash prizes. Semi-finalists of the event Gawadar and Peshawar also got Rs 25,000 each.
