I can bowl anytime whenever required, says Kohli ahead of semi-final against Kiwis
MANCHESTER: Indian skipper Virat Kohli hasn’t bowled yet in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, but he is ready to fill in the overs whenever required.
“We played with 5 bowling options because it gives more depth in batting. I can bowl anytime,” Kohli said at the pre-match press conference on Monday.
“We intend to do the same. If the opening partnership is going strong and someone needs to go in at No. 3 and strike the ball, he is absolutely open to do that,” Kohli added.
It is pertinent to mention here that India and New Zealand will play against each other for the first time in this tournament after their league match had been washed out without a ball being bowled.
The match will start at 2:30pm PST.
