Former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi remanded into NAB’s custody

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court handed over former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to National Accountability Bureau for a 13-day remand in relation to the LNG terminal case.
The NAB presented the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader before the accountability court earlier today, a day after he was arrested from the federal capital.
NAB had summoned Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on July 18 in the LNG case.
During his time as a federal petroleum minister, Abbasi had handed over a tender worth Rs220 billion to a company he was a shareholder himself.
