FM Qureshi downplays impact of leaked video
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has played the political impact of a leaked video, saying it has no legal standing after rejection by Accountability Jude Arshad Malik.
Talking to media in Multan, he said all the talk of Maryam Nawaz related to this video was based on assumption.
He, however, endorsed conducting forensic examination of the video/ audio to ascertain facts in this context.
Addressing a Hajj training ceremony arranged by private Hajj operators in Multan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said government is well aware of the problems of the masses and using all resources to resolve them.
He said the masses would observe good results soon as a result of public-friendly policies of the government.
The foreign minister said incumbent government has taken revolutionary steps to facilitate pilgrims.
He said Pakistan has been included in Road to Makkah project by the Saudi government after special request by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He informed that the Prime Minister has issued special instructions to the Ministry of Religious Affairs to provide maximum relief to the intending pilgrims.
Qureshi said Imran Khan is the first ruler who took up the issue of Pakistani prisoners with Saudi government which responded positively.
