Firdous Ashiq Awan makes audience frown with ‘obscene abbreviation’
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan— Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information – left the audience in splits after use of an obscene word on national television.
Speaking on political talk show 11th Hours, the spokesperson for the government took a jibe at PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair over his views on the prime minister’s official visit to the States.
In retaliation to his concerns, the information minister said the PML-N leader had opened his eyes in a particular environment where he eventually became Sindh governor by complying with the then prime minister Nawaz Sharif — for which she used an abbreviation for an indecent slang word.
A clip from the episode circulating on social media took many by surprise– whether the information was herself aware of the actual meaning of the term.

As she proceeded with her infuriating remark, she said the PML-N leader was incapable of carrying out grass-root level politics.
Awan went on to question on what basis was Muhammad Zubair appointed Sindh Governor, given his failure to put public politics into fair practice.
Praising PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto for his supportive message on PM’s successful US tour, Awan said sometimes politics should be put aside for the sake of national interest.
