Cow vigilantes kill three in India on suspicions of theft

PATNA: Three men were killed and one injured after a mob brutally assaulted them over suspicions of cow theft, according to police.

Three men, one of which was a Muslim, were lynched to death in a village in the eastern state of Bihar.

Another man was hospitalized in a critical condition after the recent attack by cow vigilantes.

According to reports, the victims were driving a truck when they were stopped in Pithori Nandlal village by a crowd who accused them of stealing cows.

Police said three have been detained for the brutal killings.
