Lahore’s streets have been flooded and the city has been power outages for the past few days owing to the rain.
Chief Minister Buzdar was on the ground, inspecting the work being carried out by authorities to restore order to the city.
Punjab Government Spokesperson Dr Shahbaz Gill tweeted a video of the chief minister driving around in his car. Buzdar came across a couple of women who were stranded in the flooded streets.
He pulled up beside them and offered them a ride in his car. The women obliged.
Dr Gill can be heard in the video taking shots at the previous provincial government.
“You can see all around you–the previous administration claimed that they had transformed this city into Paris. Look at the condition of Paris,” he says.
