LAHORE: PML-N leader and former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday.

Sanaullah, a PML-N MNA and president of the party’s Punjab wing, was arrested from Sukheke area. As per reports, the former law minister was travelling from Lahore to his home constituency in Faisalabad.

Sanaullah was, according to a Geo TV report, travelling with bodyguards when he was taken into custody by a raiding party.

The PML-N MNA is a staunch critic of Prime Minister Imran Khan and a loyal aide of former premier Nawaz Sharif.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz reacted to Sanaullah’s arrest, criticising Prime Minister Imran Khan for it.
“What has ANS got to do with Rana Sanaullah? It could not get more absurd. He has been arrested for his bold & courageous stance. Jaali-e-Azam being the small & petty minded man that he is, is directly behind his arrest. Make no mistake,” she said.
