Anti-corruption department inquires Nawaz Sharif in Pakpatan Land probe
LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Department on Tuesday interrogated former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the Pakpatan Land case.
A four-member team inquired the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) founder in the Kot Lakhpat jail where he is serving jail-term after he was sentenced to seven years in the Al-Azizia case.
Geo News reported that the team informed Nawaz that he was one of the suspects and was shown the record of the land case in this regard.
The case has been resurfaced from the time when Nawaz was the chief minister of Punjab.
Nawaz Sharif said his legal team would respond to the questions raised by the investigators, according to Geo News.
