PPP parliamentarians use word ‘selected’ in their budget speeches
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) parliamentarians used the word ‘selected’ in their budgetary speeches. The parliamentarians have been barred from using the term for Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Opposition lawmakers may have been barred from using the word selected for Prime Minister Khan but they found novel ways to use the word in their budget speeches.
Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri had ruled a few days ago that the word ‘selected’ could not be used to describe the prime minister. The deputy speaker had ruled that the people had elected every parliamentarian hence it could not be used to describe a lawmaker.
