Angry Sarfaraz accuses Imad Wasim, others of underperforming
According to various reports, Sarfaraz accused pacer Wahab Riaz, Imad Wasim, Imam ul Haq and Babar Azam of forming a group within the team. He accused Imad of being the leader of the group and said that the all-rounder had his eyes on the captaincy.
The skipper also accused Shoaib Malik of throwing his weight behind the four-man group. It is pertinent to mention that Shoaib Malik has announced that he will retire from international cricket after the World Cup.
The accusations were made in the dressing room after Pakistan suffered a defeat against India in the World Cup.
Sources reported that Sarfaraz thought genuinely this was a match that team Pakistan could have won against India.
Coach Mickey Arthur refused to talk during the outburst and remained silent. It is said that the team’s other activities are also a cause for concern as manager Talat Ali doesn’t have matters under his control.
Pakistan team’s Media Manager refuted the reports and claimed that the entire team was united under Sarfaraz’s leadership.
