WhatsApp to introduce new screenshot feature: report
Instant messaging application WhatsApp has introduced a new screenshot feature that stops users from taking screenshots of private chats.
According to a report by WaBetaInfo, the tech giant will be testing out a new feature which will enable fingerprint access to chats. This will not allow users to take screenshots of private chats.
According to some reports, “When enabled, fingerprint is required to open WhatsApp and conversation screenshots are blocked. You can still reply to messages from notifications and answer calls if WhatsApp is locked.”
Reportedly, only the Beta version of the app on mobile phones will be rolling out the feature.
When the Authentication feature will be available and you enable it, conversation screenshots are blocked (for you) 😢
What do you think? I don’t like the idea and I don’t see the point.
If I authenticate my identity using my fingerprint, why conversation screenshots are blocked? https://t.co/wVFWyx2Ibb
