This is our best and last chance or we are gone, Ramiz Raja warns Pakistan
LONDON: Former Pakistan opener and noted cricket commentator Ramiz Raja thinks that the PTI government is country’s best but last chance to deal with challenges being faced by the country.
Taking to Twitter on Monday night, Raja said people need to change to make Pakistan a proud governable country.
Raja, who was part of the 1992 World Cup winning squad, urged the country to look inwards to make little adjustments and change. “In times of adversity show grace and be patient. Think we can do it,” he added.
“People need to change to make Paki a proud governable country. This is our best and last chance or we are gone! Look inwards to make little adjustments and changes. In times of adversity show grace and be patient. Think we can do it,” the commentator tweeted.
This is not the first time Ramiz Raja has made political comments that have drawn criticism from netizens.
On April 26, he lashed out at political shows, saying they project negative, agenda driven and lack editorial and political intellect.
“What’s gone wrong with our tv political shows and anchors? They have lost it-showcasing opposition’s morbid views who on their watch had fucked up Pakistan. If public is feeling the “price pang”it bloody well deserves it for voting them in power for 10 yrs.#horchuppo””
“As a citizen think I can have an opinion on anything &verything including politics. Also with 22 yrs of international tv experience I can comment on the state of TV channels & shows. Political shows are mostly negative, agenda driven, lacking solid editorial & political intellect.”
