Shadab Khan declared fit, to join squad on Monday in Bristol

Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan expressed his excitement for joining the Pakistan squad ahead of World Cup 2019.

Shadab took to his Twitter and wrote: “I am glad to announce that I will be fit for the @cricketworldcup and will be joining the Pakistan team in England soon. Thank you @TheRealPCB, my family, my friends and my supporters for being by my side during this tough time. Keep me in your prayers. #PakistanZindabad.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Shadab Khan has been declared fit for the World Cup after his latest test results reflected zero viral load in his blood, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced in a press release.

The leg-spinner will leave for London on Thursday, May 16, where he will consult Dr Patrick Kennedy on Friday before joining the team on Monday, 20 May.

Shadab’s appearances in the World Cup warm-up matches, scheduled for May 24 and 26 against Afghanistan and Bangladesh respectively, are subject to his fitness.
