Reham Khan mocks Fawad Chaudhry over Hubble telescope gaffe
LONDON: Imran Khan’s former wife Reham Khan took a swipe at Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry over his claim that Hubble Telescope was sent into orbit by Pakistani space agency.
“Another proof that these PTI ministers live on Mars so of course they wouldn’t know anything about planet Earth,” Reham Khan said in response to a Twitter user who shared Fawad Chaudhry’s video on Twitter.

Appearing in Geo talk show ‘Naya Pakistan’ on Sunday, Fawad Chaudhry claimed that the Hubble Space Telescope was sent into orbit by Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SPARCO).
“One way of sighting the moon is through the world’s largest telescope Hubble which was sent into orbit by SUPARCO. These are satellites,” Chaudhry said while defending his decision to set up a new committee to determine a 10-year Islamic calendar in a bid to end the controversies surrounding the sighting of moons on Muharram, Eid and Ramazan.
The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) was launched into low Earth orbit in 1990 by NASA. The telescope remains in operation.
It is one of the largest and most versatile and is well known as both a vital research tool and a public relations boon for astronomy, according to Wikipedia.
