Maryam Nawaz dubs PTI govt a ‘BAD NEWS’ for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Maryam Nawaz, took the government to task for the dismal performance of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

“The government is BAD NEWS for the country. Every moment is crucial as the incompetence & lack of understanding, ability & seriousness are causing irrevocable destruction,” Maryam Nawaz tweeted, sharing statistics of the stock exchange which plunged to lowest level in three years.

The KSE-100 Index dropped by 765 points on Wednesday

The World Bank has warned that Pakistan’s economic growth will slow to 2.7% in 2020.

This was seconded by the IMF, which said that Pakistan’s GDP growth rate will be reduced to 2.9 % while inflation and unemployment will go up.

The PSX was at 42,873 in August last year but ever since the PTI came into power, it has dropped around 8,000 points
