Meesha is in the wrong in this case, says Meera
Pakistani actress Meera has backed Ali Zafar, saying that Meesha Shafi was in the wrong in her sexual harassment case against the ‘Teefa in Trouble’ star.
The Pakistani actress was speaking to an English daily when she said that Meesha Shafi was trying to be Malala Yousafzai.
“Anyone can get two seconds of fame after wrongfully using the name of a successful individual and Meesha has done the same by involving him (Ali Zafar) in this issue,” she said.
Meera said that Meesha Shafi was trying to be like Malala Yousafzai through her ‘tactics’.
“Meesha only hopes to seek international fame like Malala,” said Meera.
Meera said that Meesha Shafi wanted to stay relevant and grab headlines by accusing Ali Zafar of harassment. Meera said that she backed Ali Zafar and stood behind him in these trying times.
Meera and Ali Zafar have worked together in the past as well. The actress appeared in the music video for Ali Zafar’s song ‘Dekha Jo Teri Aankhon Main’.
On Saturday, Meesha Shafi filed a petition against the judge hearing Ali Zafar’s defamation case against her.
The songstress accused the judge of being biased against her and in favour of Ali Zafar.
