Corruption allegations: PML-N leader Ameer Muqam’s son arrested
PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) yesterday arrested son of senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Ameer Muqam over accusations of corruption.
According to a local news channel, an inquiry was initiated into alleged corruption in construction of Alpuri Road in KP’s Shangla district. Following to its completion Muqam’s son Ishtiaq among five contractors were arrested on account of their alleged involvement.
Moreover, FIA had also registered a case pertaining to alleged corruption in construction of the said road.
Today, Ishtiaq Ameer Muqam was presented before court where the court sent him on a three day physical remand.
It must be mentioned here that the concerned project director, contractors, National Highways Authority (NHA) officials and engineers have been nominated in the case.
FIA has also recommended departmental action against 11 NHA officials subsequent to putting Ameer Muqam and his Company on blacklist, local news channel reported.
