Asad Umar to rejoin cabinet, says Sheikh Rasheed
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Railway Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has claimed that Asad Umar will soon join the cabinet, adding Jahangir Tareen was a useful man but he got wasted due to court’s order.
Sheikh Rasheed made the remarks while addressing a press conference on Saturday.
“Imran Khan has inherited a bad economic situation. I said to Imran Khan yesterday that Asif Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Shabaz Sharif were responsible for the present economic crisis. The gang of four has torn this country apart,” he said.
Rasheed said only 400 people had taken former ‘four-time’ prime minister Nawaz Sharif to jail. “His (Nawaz Sharif) demand is to go to London. He will even strike a deal with angels.”
He announced that PM Khan would inaugurate Sir Syed Express on May 15.
To a question, he said that economy class ticket price will go by 50 percent if new train fare are announced .
The government will try to act upon the Supreme Court ruling regarding removal of land encroachments from railway land in Karachi in 15 days, he said.
“The government will do everything it can and also extend full support to the Sindh government.”
The railways will not be privatized, added the minister.
