Cricket World Cup: Pakistan all set to announce 15-man squad today
LAHORE: Subsequent to the end of fitness test of players, all eyes and ears are now at the much-anticipated announcement of Pakistani players squad for the coming World Cup 2019 that will be made by the official body on Thursday.
According to details, out of 23 players who underwent extensive training sessions for being successfully qualified to be in the World Cup team, the 15-man squad will be finalized today by the Pakistan Cricket Board and also with the inclusion of two reserve players.
It must be mentioned here that all these players had a full-fledged fitness session at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium from April 13 till yesterday.
Pakistan will play their first World Cup match against West Indies at Trent Bridge on May 31.
According to a press statement by the Pakistan Cricket Board The high-spirited country’s cricket team is all gearing up for the upcoming bilateral series that will be played against England.
Official Twitter handle of International Cricket Council also tweeted and wrote “Pakistan is set to announce their 15-man Cricket World Cup squad today”
ICC further asked in its tweet that “Who would you pick? Who should be their back-up opener? Who should form the pace attack?” Have your say.

Sources disclosed that Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and coach Mickey Arthur will hold their joint presser at the departure day at the Gaddafi Stadium on April 22.
The team is scheduled to depart for England on Tuesday, April 23.
The men’s selection committee chairperson, Inzamam-ul-Haq will announce the names of World Cup squad at a press conference that will likely take place at 5:30 pm today.
