Salman Khan in trouble for ‘hurting’ religious sentiments of Hindus
NEW DELHI: India’s ruling party BJP called for the registration of a case against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and the Congress accusing them of hurting religious sentiments of Hindus in Madhya Pradesh.
Salman Khan is in Madhya Pradesh to shoot for the third installment of Dabangg .
Members of the film crew kept a wooden plank on a ‘shivling’ and some of them were seen standing on it during the shooting, Hindustan Times reported.
As the picture went viral on social media, some local residents protested against the shooting, Maheshwar police said.
Responding to BJP’s allegation, the Congress said the Narendra Modi’s party had no real issues to raise.
Meanwhile, the Dabangg star has threatened to shift the shooting of his movie out of Madhya Pradesh.
“There was no intention to hurt religious feelings,” he told reporters.
BJP vice-president and legislator Rameshwar Sharma demanded that chief minister Kamal Nath should instruct the police to lodge a case against Salman Khan.
