The United States defense officials have categorically rejected false and fabricated Indian claims of shooting down any Pakistani F-16 fighter jet during airstrike in February when Indian jets violated Line of Control (LoC).

According to details, two top notch US defense officials who have an accurate and right information of the airstrike dogfight between India and Pakistan has unearthed this to the Foreign Policy Magazine that recently US officials have counted Pakistan’s F-16s and the result was that all planes were present, not a single missing.

The findings of the US personnel made it explicit to the world at large that the Indian perspective about Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman who shot down a Pakistani F-16 prior to his arrest by Pakistan Air Force is incorrect as per the publication.

Ashok Swain, professor of peace and conflict research wrote on its official Twitter handle “Modi media claims that Abhinandan shot down a Pakistani F-16 jet.”

“Americans have counted Pakistan’s F-16s and found none missing”, he added in his tweet.

In another series of tweet, Professor slammed Indian media and said “Time has come for the Indian journalists covering foreign policy and security affairs to grow up and sleep alone and added that not to remain embedded with MEA or MoD for the rest of their lives.”

It is pertinent to mention here that US authorities on the ground in Pakistan after fully counting the  F-16 planes came to a conclusion that the version of India was immensely dubious over its tall claim.

Pakistan had invited the United States for physical counting of its F-16 planes after the incident as part of an end-user agreement signed when the foreign military sale was finalized, US official said.

The count has been completed, and “all aircraft were present and accounted for,” the official said.

It seems that Indian government have distorted the actual report based on facts and misguided the global community related to the airstrike incident, report added.

The Pakistan Air Force in its retaliatory action shot down two Indian aircraft when it violated at LoC and apprehended Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan who was later released as a part of ‘peace gesture’.
