NAB raids Shehbaz Sharif’s residence
Probe team returned back sans any arrest
LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team on Friday raided the Model town residence of Opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif.
A press release by NAB stated that the raid was intended at arresting Hamza Shehbaz for possessing assets beyond known means of income, but the investigation team returned after having short communication sans any arrest.
It must be mentioned here that Former Punjab’s chief minister Shehbaz along with his sons Hamza and Salman are facing multiple inquires, most importantly the Ashiana Housing scandal, Ramzan Sugar Mills and assets disproportionate to known source of income.
PML-N Punjab spokesman Malik Muhammad Ahmed said that “More than 5 NAB personnel came for raid without any warrant.”
PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed the presence of both Shehbaz and Hamza Sharif at the residence and asked, “Are Hamza Shehbaz and Shebaz Sharif terrorists?”
