More changes in federal, provincial cabinets on the cards
ISLAMABAD: More changes are expected in the federal and Punjab cabinets by Tuesday, a news agency reported.
Quoting a credible source, Online reported that Prime Minister House has been informed by different agencies about various issues being faced by a tug of war between Chief Minister and Governor Houses.
In their reports, agencies have suggested that Prime Minister Khan remove at least six provincial ministers. The ruling PTI, according to reports, is faced with internal groupings and as a result, this is becoming a cause of concern for federal and provincial bureaucracies.
In a major reshuffle two weeks ago, Prime Minister Imran Khan removed his close aide Asad Umar as Finance Minister and brought in former PPP finance minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.
Ijaz Shah was also appointed Federal State Minister after the removal of Shehryar Afridi who was serving as state minister.
Fawad Chaudhry was given the ministry for science while Firdous Ashiq Awan was named the new information minister.
