LHC orders removal of Nasir Jamshed’s name from ECL
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday ordered the authorities to remove name of cricketer Nasir Jameshed from Exit Control List (ECL).
An application against government’s decision to put the cricketer on the ECL was filed by Justice Sajid Mahmood Sethi.
Deputy AG told the court that Nasir Jamshed’s name was placed on the ECL on the recommendation of the FIA. After hearing the arguments, the LHC ordered removal of Nasir Jamshed’s name from the ECL.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had banned Nasir Jamshed from cricket for 10 years in 2018 after finding him guilty in spot fixing scandal in PSL-III.
