After Prime Minister Imran Khan’s decision to reshuffle underperforming ministers on Thursday, an old video of the premier from his cricketing days went viral on the internet.

The internet hardly lets any chance go by to make light of a moment or a situation these days. After the news of Asad Umar’s resignation took the whole nation by shock on Thursday, some people decided to have fun with an old video of Prime Minister Imran Khan, back when he was the national team’s skipper.

In the video (which went viral on Thursday) Imran Khan can be seen angry at a fielder who refused to step forward and take the catch of an Australian batsman.

Imran Khan signals for another fielder to switch places with the one who had made the mistake earlier, sporting an angry expression.

People likened the situation to that of Asad Umar’s resignation, who was asked by Prime Minister Khan to take up the energy minister portfolio.

Asad Umar declined and as a result, the prime minister appointed Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh as his adviser on finance.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday warned his ministers that if they did not take their jobs seriously, he would replace them with others who could do better.

“Sometimes, you have to change the batting order for the team to win,” he said. “I will replace  any minister if he does not perform well and will keep a keen eye on my cabinet,” he added.
