P Chidambaram calls for talks with Pakistan to avoid war
ISLAMABAD: Senior Indian Congress leader P Chidambaram has called for talks with Pakistan with an ultimate aim to refrain from war.
According to a report, speaking in the Indian city of Chennai, Chidambaram said he is firmly of the view that war does not solve any problem.
He said there is no other option and we have to keep on talking with Pakistan and avoid war. The former Indian Union Minister said we can change our friends but cannot change our neighbours.
Talking to Indian news channel Chidambaram said that “We have to live with Pakistan forever and forever”, and it is the need of the hour to have talks with the neighbouring country as the war is not the right option.
