Modi yet to respond to 3 unattended calls from PM Khan
Prime Minister Imran Khan has attempted to contact his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi thrice but has not received any response.
PM Khan had reached out to Modi to acquaint him of his decision on releasing the captured Indian pilot in a bid to de-escalate the tensions between two countries but got no response from his Indian counterpart, Geo quoted diplomatic sources as saying.
In an unprecedented move yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced the release of an Indian soldier captured by Pakistan after air combat in Azad Kashmir in the aftermath of Indian aggression.
“As a peace gesure, we are releasing the captured Indian pilot tomorrow,” PM told a joint sitting of the Parliament called to debate the standoff.
In his speech, the premier expressed his desire for maintaining peace and stability in the region and clarified that the decision is not an outcome of any fear.
