Kartarpur Agreement: Pakistan, India start discussions at Attari

LAHORE: Pakistan and India is currently having meeting on the draft agreement of Kartarpur corridor in Attari today.

Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal who is also the Director General South Asia and SAARC will be heading the Pakistani delegation, which also includes members of a technical team that will hold a meeting on the sidelines.

In a recent Tweet by the Foreign office official Twitter handle “Meetings between the delegations of Pakistan and India is underway at Attari.”

Earlier, Dr.Faisal on his official Twitter handle posted “Pakistan Delegation for Kartarpur talks is leaving for India shortly.”

Moreover, the delegation has reached to Attari via Wagha Border.

During the meeting, the experts will have several discussions on the matters pertaining to the infrastructure of the corridor, its construction, road, and other technicalities.

Pakistan has already sent the draft agreement of Kartarpur corridor to India. A return visit by the Indian delegation will be held in Islamabad on March 28.

It is pertinent to mention here that yesterday, Foreign office spokesman had regretted that India had not given visas to Pakistani journalists for Kartarpur meeting.
