Constructive talks held between Pakistan, India on Kartarpur corridor: FO spokesman

LAHORE: “Constructive and positive discussions held between Pakistan and India today over the draft of Kartarpur Corridor agreement”, Foreign office spokesman Dr Mohammad Faisal revealed this after returning from Indian side of border Attari.
This agreement is for Sikh pilgrims who will pay visit to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib via this corridor.
Talking to the media persons at Wagah border upon return, Dr Faisal said the meting took place in a positive and cordial environment.
He also said the Kartarpur Corridor is a visa free corridor .
“There are still differences on some issues, but I can’t reveal the details now,” the foreign spokesman said.
During the meeting it was agreed to hold the next meeting at Wagah on 2 April 2019.
Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal who is also the Director General South Asia and SAARC headed the Pakistani delegation, which also includes members of a technical team that were a part of meeting today.
Earlier in a Tweet by Foreign office official Twitter handle it was told that “Meetings between the delegations of Pakistan and India is underway at Attari.”
