Karachi hosts eight PSL matches, wins hearts
A packed National Stadium Karachi witnessed one of Pakistan’s biggest sporting events as eight Pakistan Super League 2019 matches including the final unfolded in front of over 210,000 jubilant fans over the course of one week.
Millions of fans watched the Karachi’s games on TV screens and internet globally.
Although the final game turned out to be a rather one-sided affairs as Sarfaraz-led Quetta Gladiators outclassed Peshawar Zalmi, what really stole the show was the build-up to the event in the cricket-mad city of Karachi.
The City of Lights Sunday wore the look of a city rejuvenated as Karachiites came out excitedly to enjoy the PSL final.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Peshawar Zalmi captain Darren Sammy hailed as a great place to play cricket.
