Shehbaz should step down as PAC chairman, says Fawad
ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said yesterday that the opposition leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif should tender his resignation from heading as chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
Speaking to the media persons soon after the cabinet meeting, Fawad said that the office of Public Accounts Committee is being utilized and those who are facing investigation under the country’s anti-graft watch dog NAB are included in the committee.
Chairman PAC must refrain from protecting those elected representatives who are being probed by NAB, Fawad said.
Information minister further said that the NAB’ procedures need to be fair and unbiased. and added that both military and civilian government at present enjoys optimum level of coordination in the history.”
