PSP leader Abdul Habib killed in targeted attack in Karachi
Chairman PSP deplores the killing of party leader
Karachi: A leader of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Abdul Habib was killed in a suspected targeted attack near Karachi’s busiest Sakhi Hasan Chowrangi in the precincts of North Nazimabad yesterday evening, police officials said.
According to Taimuria police officials, the 40-year-old slain Habib, came out from the driving seat of land Cruiser onto the main road near Serena mobile market where unidentified armed attackers on bikes opened indiscriminate fire on him and easily managed to escape from the place of the incident.
Following to the incident, Habib was immediately rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, sources said.
Talking to National Courier, Chairman Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), Mustafa Kamal said that “I strongly condemn the murder of our party leader and demanded the Sindh government and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to apprehend the culprits involved in the killing of Abdul Habib and put them behind bars.”

Senior members of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Qamar Akhtar, Arsalan Perwaiz Siddiqui, Sheikh Abdullah and Hussain Motiwala also deplored the killing of their party leader in the metropolis.
The deceased was also a member of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and had contested in general elections last year from Sindh Assembly’s PS-122 constituency, said PSP member.
Moreover, the police officials ruled out the possibility of terming the incident as a robbery bid.
Additional IG Karachi Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh said that “It appeared to be a targeted killing incident,”
Later, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and directed the officials to immediately arrest the perpetrators.
