PSL 4: Team ‘Multan Sultans’ penalized for slow over-rate
One of the top team in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Multan Sultans have been imposed fined by the concerned body for two slow overs in their match played against Peshawar Zalmi at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium yesterday.
According to details, team Multan Sultans have breached article 2.5 of the PSL Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel which is related to minor over-rate offences.
Moreover, it is pertinent to mention here that as this was the very first offence of Multan Sultans, so their captain Shoaib Malik and the entire team have been penalized up to 10 per cent each of their match fees.
Furthermore it musrt be mentioned here that If this offence is repeated again then each player of Multan Sultans will be fined 20 per cent of their match fees.
Match referee Roshan Mahanama has sanctioned the fine over the charges leveled by On-field umpires Ranmore Martinesz and Shozab Raza; third umpire Rashid Riaz; fourth umpire Tariq Rasheed.
The official Twitter handle of Pakistan Super League also revealed it saying “Multan Sultans fined for slow over-rate.”
