MBS remarks 'Pakistan's future is too bright'
ISLAMABAD: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman who reached Pakistan yesterday has said that under the leadership of Imran Khan “Pakistan will thrive and prosper in future and we will surely be a part of that.”
Prime Minister Imran Khan had a one-on-one meeting with Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the PM House yesterday which was followed by inaugural session of the Supreme Coordination Council, co-chaired by both leaders.
Addressing at the inaugural session of the Supreme Coordination Council, The crown prince MBS said: “We have been a brotherly country to Pakistan. We have walked together in good and bad times and this practice will continue in future too.”
The first phase of $20 billion Saudi investment in the country has been completed and the Kingdom will extend its continuous support to the “brotherly country”, MBS added.
Both countries signed seven memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and agreements in diverse fields, including energy, power, petrochemical, mineral resources and sports, to further enhance their cooperation.
The main objective behind Supreme Coordination Council is certainly to ensure the implementation of an effective strategy and mechanism make rapid decisions in all the fundamental areas of bilateral cooperation and interest.
“Pakistani leadership is impressive and the country’s future seems quite bright,” said the crown prince.
