Opposition parties in a fix after Aleem Khan’s arrest: Fawad Chaudhry
On Wednesday that opposition parties were dumbstruck after Aleem Khan was arrested. The federal minister was speaking at an event in Islamabad when he talked about Punjab minister Aleem Khan’s arrest.
He said that as soon as Aleem Khan heard about his arrest orders, he sent his resignation to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
“The way Aleem Khan tendered his resignation depicts a clear difference in culture … it tells a lot about prevailing culture in PTI and other political parties,” he said.
Fawad Chaudhry said that opposition parties would not be able to point fingers at the PTI for colluding with NAB against them.
“Now they will be dumbstruck and won’t have any excuse to criticize NAB or the government,” he said.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the PTI stood with the process of accountability and state institutions against corruption.
“Stability of institutions ensures Pakistan’s stability,” he said during the presser.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party have criticized NAB in the recent past over the arrests of PPP & PML-N leaders including Shehbaz Sharif and Khawaja Saad Rafique.
