Nawaz Sharif moved to hospital from Kot Lakhpat jail
LAHORE: PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has been shifted from the Kot Lakhpat prison to Services Hospital in Lahore due to health concerns.
The former premier was examined by a three-member medical board at the hospital.
His daughter Maryam Nawaz confirmed the development, saying that she had been told about her father’s transfer to hospital.

This came after the Punjab home department granted permission to shift incarcerated former premier Nawaz Sharif to Services Hospital in the life of the recommendations of a medical board.
The board had recommended shifting Sharif to a a hospital where there is a kidney specialist and a diabetologist.
Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to seven years in prison in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills reference by an anti-graft court.
PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said, “Such treatment of a three-time prime minister shows the moral degradation of the federal and Punjab government.”
“The decision to not handover Nawaz’s medical reports to his family is alarming and raises questions,” she added.
Aurangzeb demanded that the nation be apprised regarding Nawaz’s health and his medical reports be handed over to his family immediately.
