Modi outsmarted by Pakistani PM as India falls in love with Imran Khan
Prime Minister Imran Khan seems to have defeated his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi as the Pakistani premier won Indian hearts for his ‘gesture of peace’ on Thursday.
While some claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan had shown Modi how to win a cricket match by hitting a six, others urged Modi to learn how to be a statesman like Imran Khan.
The Pakistani prime minister started trending on Twitter in India. Here are some tweets praising the Pakistani prime minister.
At least in terms of optics, Imran Khan stole a match on PM Modi. Gained upper hand strategically by capturing an Indian Wing Commander and now accumulating moral capital by releasing him unconditionally. #WelcomeBackAbhinandan

With apologies & respect to Modiji, but today he has been outdone and outshone in diplomacy, war strategy and public outreach by a swashbuckling cricket captain @ImranKhanPTI

Thank you @ImranKhanPTI for releasing #Abhinandhan Thank you to all those Indians and Pakistanis who relentlessly campaigned for the war to end before it even began. Thank you all, again, for stubbornly believing that peace is the only way forward. Peace and love. Always.

@ImranKhanPTI Every noble act makes a way for itself… your goodwill gesture is ‘a cup of joy’ for a billion people, a nation rejoices…
I am overjoyed for his parents and loved ones.

We in India may not like this, but in terms of pure optics, @ImranKhanPTI at the moment is winning the day by taking the moral high ground .. we have a strong case on terror but too many of our leaders busy calculating votes at the moment..

I am willing to donate my annual salary to Arnab Goswami, Rahul Shiv Shankar and other such illustrious nationalists if they just go to LOC and stand there holding a gun for a mere 10 minutes. Our TV war-rooms are a disgrace. Shameless repugnant characters.

Dear Republic: Please show some understanding of history. How can it be a ‘Titanic win’? Titanic went down in the Atlantic on its maiden voyage. Our brave pilot, however, is returning home. Please show some love for Indiahttps://t.co/cxUkBoXzAi
