KARACHI: FixIt founder Alamgir Khan was booked on Wednesday for throwing sewage water at the gates of the Chief Minister House.

Alamgir Khan and other volunteers of the #FixIt movement had collected sewage water in buckets and thrown it on the gates of the Chief Minister House in Karachi a day earlier.

According to the #FixIt founder, this was done to protest Karachi’s civic problems.

Police said that an FIR was registered against Alamgir Khan and others for the offence in Civil Lines Police Station.

On Monday, Alamgir Khan had staged a protest sit-in outside the Chief Minister House in Sindh to raise awareness about Karachi’s unresolved civic issues.

His #FixIt movement gained momentum a couple of years ago after he painted then chief minister Qaim Ali Shah’s picture atop manholes in Karachi.

He is an MNA of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
