Pilot martyred as PAF trainer aircraft crashes in Mastung
MASTUNG: A pilot embraced martyrdom when after a training aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed near Mastung on Wednesday.
A PAF‘s spokesman confirmed the incident, saying flight lieutenant Tahir died as a result of the crash.
The PAF’s F7-PG trainer aircraft was on a routine operation training mission before it went down in Balochistan‘s district.
The spokesman said that a board of inquiry was constituted at the Air Headquarters to investigate reasons which caused the mishap.
Mumtaz Khaitran, a top official, said that a parachute was also found in the vicinity.
Rescue and security teams reached the crash site and cordoned off the area.
