Afridi said that he would end the menace of drug abuse even if it cost him his life. He said that the drug mafia prevalent in Pakistan in general and Islamabad in particular was playing with future generations.
“I have told forces that there will be no compromise over the drug trade,” he said, “we have to be bold against the mafia. We will make them a lesson for others to learn.”
Afridi said that he would cleanse the country of drugs without caring for the criticism that his government or ministry had to deal with over the issue.
“Let me tell you all quite clear we will go till the end on this issue,” he added.
