Sikh officer appointed as PRO to Governor Punjab
LAHORE: First time in the history, a member of the minority group Sikh community has been appointed as Public Relations Officer at the Punjab Governor House.
Prior to his appointment at the key post in one of the top notch public office in the province of Punjab, Pooran Sindh Arwara was performing his duties in the capacity of District Information Officer in Nankana Sahab.
Recently, Prime Minister Imran Khan slammed Indian premier Narendra Modi over maltreatment of minorities in India and told him to see how Pakistan treats the minority groups with due respect and equality.
Pakistan has also opened Kartarpur border, a decades old holy site of Sikh community, so that they could visit the final resting place of spiritual leader Guru Nanak.
