Govt removes Bilawal, Murad names from no-fly list
The federal cabinet has finally taken decision to remove the names of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah from the no-fly list subsequent to the release of Supreme Court’s verdict yesterday.
Prime Minister Imran Khan today chaired the cabinet’s meeting during which a 17-point agenda came into limelight.
Federal Minister for law Barrister Faroogh Naseem said that it is mandatory for the government to fully adhere with the the court’s verdict.
It must be mentioned here that the JIT investigating the case had earlier recommended the placement of a total 172 people on the no-fly-list.
Whereas, the detailed verdict of the court had ordered that the names of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Shah be removed from both the exit control list and the JIT’s report.
The court had further ordered that the case be forwarded to the anti-graft watch dog (NAB) with a clear-cut directives to conclude the probe within two months deadline.
